When we started our journey in the watch industry, a British watch brand was a rare find. A few pioneers kept the legacy alive, but they were far from the spotlight. Fast forward to the end of 2024, and the landscape has transformed.
We are proud to announce that Helicon Watches is now a member of the British Watch and Clockmakers Association (BWCM), joining a thriving community dedicated to advancing our horological heritage.
Supporting the British Watch Industry
The BWCM is the official trade body representing the majority of watch and clockmaking brands across the British Isles and Ireland. With initiatives like collaborations with the Department for International Trade and the GREAT Britain campaign, the BWCM is putting British watchmaking on the global stage.
For us, this partnership isn’t just symbolic—it’s a step toward fostering a sustainable future for our industry. By joining forces with other independents, we turn from being lone creators into part of a collective movement, amplifying our impact on the international scene.
Investing in Skills and Legacy
With over three decades of combined experience in the industry, including managing UK aftersales for international brands like Sinn and Fortis, we understand the critical importance of training and support. At Helicon, we’re passionate about investing in watchmaking skills here in the UK, ensuring the art remains alive and accessible for generations to come.
Our connection to British watchmaking’s illustrious past as members of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, founded in 1631, further deepens our commitment. The Clockmakers’ Museum in London, housing 400 years of horological history, inspires us daily to innovate while respecting tradition.
