At Helicon Watches, our passion for timepieces runs deep, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of a vibrant watch community, filled with friends who share our enthusiasm. When we founded Helicon, our goal was simple: to craft the perfect watch, embodying our vision and dedication to excellence.
We are thrilled to announce that August has been our most successful month to date! It’s an honour to welcome so many new Master owners into the Helicon family.
August has been a busy and exciting month for us, filled with memorable experiences we are eager to share. First, we had the pleasure of being featured on the Menswear Style Podcast, where we sat down with Peter Brooker, a respected men’s style journalist and author. Peter’s work includes the celebrated book "From Tailors With Love," which explores the iconic styles of the James Bond films through interviews with the tailors and stylists behind the legendary looks. He’s also co-authored "Boy Wanted on Savile Row," the biography of our good friend Timothy Everest MBE, with whom we collaborated to create our very own MbE Special Edition Master, featuring the stunning blue-to-blue ombré dial. You can listen to our podcast episode here.
We were also honoured to be guests on 5th Wrist Radio, a podcast based in Australia and hosted by our friend Roman, a fellow member of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. 5th Wrist is deeply rooted in true horology, celebrating those who live and breathe watches and own some of the world’s most fascinating collections. This episode was particularly special because Danielle, co-founder of Helicon, joined me for her first-ever interview. Danielle typically prefers designing watches over discussing them, so it was a rare treat to have her on air. A big thank you to Roman for making Danielle feel comfortable and for his continued friendship and support. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from Danielle—listen to the episode here.
At the recent 12&60 Watch Show in Solihull, we had the pleasure of meeting incredible watch enthusiasts, including Duncan, who runs the YouTube channel The Time Bombardier. When Duncan asked to review one of our watches, we decided to do something special. We brought the watch directly to him, sharing the full story of the Helicon Master in person. After a delightful lunch with Duncan and his family, we had an engaging Q&A and filmed a video review. Thank you, Duncan—it was a fantastic experience!
We also sent a Claret Master to Scotland for Will from Zaltek Reviews to evaluate. Will’s channel and blog, ZaltekReviews.com, are excellent resources for watch enthusiasts, and we enjoyed hearing his thoughts. Although we haven’t met Will in person yet, we look forward to making that happen on our next trip to Scotland!
Last but certainly not least, we were thrilled to be guests on the Superlative Time Podcast from A Blog to Watch, hosted by the renowned and insightful watch writer Ariel Adams. We’ve been avid readers of Ariel’s work for years, and it was a privilege to join him for an open and honest discussion about the watch industry. Ariel even uncovered our first email exchange from 2012! We reminisced about our journey in the industry and the many changes we have witnessed. It was a fascinating conversation—be sure to give it a listen.
With August only halfway through, we’re excited about what the rest of the year holds. Join us on our journey—you won’t want to miss what’s coming next!
