Thanks Tudor...
When you're a small independent watch company, you don't often find yourself mentioned in the same conversation as the industry's biggest brands.
But this week, when we saw the launch of Tudor's new yellow chronograph, Danielle and I couldn't help but smile. After all, our Ion Yellow Professional Chronograph has been quietly turning heads for months. In fact, it's now almost 90% sold out.
Of course, we can't take credit for Tudor's design team, but it does reinforce something we've believed for a very long time. Colour matters. Done well, it creates emotion.
Done badly, it creates confusion. And if there's one thing Danielle has always had an extraordinary talent for, it's understanding colour.
Many of you will already know that Danielle has spent over twenty years working with colour, materials, finishes and design. Long before Helicon existed, she was fascinated by the way colour influences how we feel about the objects around us. It's one of the reasons our watches have developed such a loyal following.
The now sold-out Claret Master was perhaps the best example. When we launched that rich burgundy dial, it wasn't following a trend. It was simply a colour Danielle loved and believed collectors would appreciate. Thankfully, she was right. Again.
Today the Claret Master is completely sold out and has become one of the most sought-after watches we've ever produced. The same story is now unfolding with Ion Yellow.
It's bold. It's unapologetic. And it's unlike almost anything else in our collection. Perhaps that's why so many collectors have added one to their watch box.
One thing we've noticed over the years is that Helicon owners rarely stop at one watch. Many of our customers own two, three, four or even more pieces, and that is probably the greatest compliment we could ever receive.
As a small British family business, every order means something to us. Every watch is designed with care. Every watch is tested. And every Professional Chronograph is assembled here in the United Kingdom. We're incredibly proud of that.
So, Tudor, thank you for reminding the watch world that yellow watches are rather brilliant. As for the Helicon Professional Chronograph? Over 75% of production has already been spoken for in just eight weeks. The Ion Yellow is now approaching sell-out status.
Based on current demand, we don't expect the remaining allocation to be available for long. Once this production run is gone, it will be gone. If you've been considering adding one to your collection, now is the moment to secure yours before availability becomes increasingly limited. And if yellow isn't your colour? Don't worry.
What comes next won't disappoint!
