The new Siebe Gorman Type D has been created to honour that legacy.
This is not a reissue or a tribute piece. It is an entirely new professional dive watch, designed with 20 years of industry experience from the ground up with over two years of research, engineering and development.
Every component has been carefully considered to produce a modern tool watch that respects its heritage while meeting the expectations of today’s professional and enthusiast alike.
Designed and tested in the United Kingdom by Helicon Watches, the Type D combines contemporary engineering, proven mechanical reliability and understated British design into a watch built for adventure.
Designed to Perform
The Type D has been engineered with one simple objective: to create an uncompromising professional dive watch that is as comfortable on land as it is beneath the surface.
Its slim 11.9mm profile is exceptional for a 300-metre professional diver equipped with an integrated helium escape valve, giving the watch remarkable wearability without compromising strength or capability.
Inside beats the respected Miyota 9039 high-beat automatic movement, chosen for its proven reliability, serviceability and precision. Surrounding it is a custom-designed anti-magnetic movement holder, helping protect the movement during everyday use.
From the two-layer enamel dial and ceramic bezel to the generous application of Swiss Super-LumiNova®, every detail has been developed with clarity, durability and functionality in mind.
Built to Last
The Type D is manufactured from premium materials throughout.
The 316L marine-grade stainless steel case is paired with a sapphire crystal featuring an internal anti-reflective coating, while the custom-designed stainless steel bracelet incorporates quick-release spring bars and an on-the-fly micro-adjustment clasp for effortless comfort.
Limited Means Limited
Like every Helicon project, the Siebe Gorman Type D is produced as a genuine limited release. Once an edition has sold out, it will not be repeated.
Each watch carries its own individually numbered case back, ensuring every owner becomes part of a small production run created for collectors who value authenticity, exclusivity and thoughtful engineering rather than mass production.
